Profile
MARI DUFFY
I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of students and clients over the past 25 years on a one-to-one or group basis, in educational and more recently counselling settings.
In all my work, be it Counselling, Life Coaching, Careers Guidance and/or Teaching/Training my fundamental aim is to move my clients forward so that they can progress on to fulfilled and happy lives.
I gained great pleasure and satisfaction as some of my mature A-level Law students went on to achieve their Law degrees and likewise when my Career Guidance clients come to tell me they have gained a place at their chosen university or secured that much sought after job.
I was lucky enough to have a second chance at my education and filled with enthusiasm as a mature student I successfully completed a BA(Hons) degree in Social Sciences and Criminology, a Masters Degree in Education and a BSc(Hons) degree in Psychology. During this time my own children successfully embarked on, and completed, their own university degrees.
My Psychology degree inspired me to train and qualify as a Counsellor and Psychology remains my current and lasting passion.
Along with all my other work I now run a small successful Counselling Practice for individuals and couples. I am also fortunate enough to be able to work largely with COA (Cambridge Occupational Analysts) for my Careers Guidance work which I now carry out in independent schools across the South of England. Finally, I continue to train new Careers Guidance workers with the EAPDC (East Anglian Professional Development Centre).
Please see the separate pages of this website for full details of my current professional activities.
